He sees me.
He knows me, my every move.
My every tear
My every sigh
My every laugh
My every cry
Everything that I am
He sees and knows it all
Still, He loves me unconditionally
It never ends
He never changes
He’s taken me away from the things
That would only ever hurt me
He teaches me that love is selfless
That to love and forgive is a choice
It is possible.
Time and time again
He shows me mercy and grace
No matter how many times I’ve
Fallen or sinned
He stopped walking
Looked down at me
Took my hand
Helped me up
And held onto me
I don’t have to hold my burdens
Nor my worries
He takes them for me instead
And lets me rest
Safely in His arms
When I’m alone
In the stillness of the night
In the quiet of my room
Or sitting with the twinkles of nature
I feel grounded
Knowing there’s company in my existence.
I see the world with clearer eyes
Now, when I look around
I see joy, anger, sadness
Longing, unfulfilled desires
All these expressions of self
From people whose souls were worth it to Him
And I want to love them
These beings that are so precious
So multifaceted
And yet troubling
All at the same time
Given I’ve struggled with much myself
Sometimes I see myself in them
Then, I think about what Jesus has done for me
And want to show Him to the world
Let them know they are never alone
He makes me perfect
When I’m all undone
Hoping to “have it all together”
Yet none of this is necessary
Because I’m not a mess to be fixed
I’m a beautiful creation that was meant to be nurtured.
Every person has a unique purpose
Here on Earth
God intended the best for every individual
Knowing who’d we’d be and who we could become
Some may question
Why God allows a situation to occur
It makes no sense to them
It just brings thorns and pain to one’s life
How can this be good?
I may not have the answer
But I know one thing
The presence of hardship
Or any single experience
Does not diminish
The presence of the loving God.
My soul yearns
For my dear friend Jesus
Trials and tests may come my way
Nonetheless, I have Him there
Every part of it is endured
With Him
Jesus is always there when you need Him
He will never lead you astray
He runs towards you
Never away
Like a shepherd to his sheep
My soul has finally found
The One it has been looking for
After meeting Him,
I am forever changed
Made anew
So, don’t wait to make a new friend
He’s right here
Ready to embrace you
Like never before
Such a bond will be
Everlasting.
