Uncovery
Trey Sherrod, May 2025

Find places of me nobody else has. Dig until you hit the bottom and climb until you reach the top. Scour through every complexity of my being until you know me like your favorite book. Read me like analog clocks. Explore me until my soul feels so familiar that you could point it out in a crowded room. Uncovery. Uncover me like I’ve been dead in a tomb. There’s no question I would do the same for you. So…uncovery. Uncover me. Uncovering anything no one has even glanced at. Understand me like no one else has. Search through the debris and crowded places and I’ll know it’s real. Uncover the parts of me I’ve yet to heal. Consume my flaws like your favorite meal. I want to be your favorite thing, but that won’t happen until you uncover me.
