Ugly Flower
Amira Patrick, april 2025

A flower in a field full of them
It is vibrant, colorful, and beautiful
The flower is perfect to the eye
But this flower cannot produce
Not a drop of pollen for the wind to carry
No more vibrant, colorful, and beautiful flowers
Not a drop of nectar for the bees
No more sweet, tasty honey
They are avoided and left alone
Banished for something they cannot control
Longing for someone to pick them
But they are just-
A flower in a field full of them
