I stand inside my kitchen, head pounding
I spot a gallon of milk on my tab
It will soil, even with the cold air of the night
Next to it is a lazily wrapped pan of pasta
The noodles will get hard and inedible
I just shrug and grab the bottle of Tylenol on the way out
That's a problem for tomorrow
My next stop is my living room
There's a maze of toys of the floor
I'm bound to step on something and get hurt
Beyblades, Legos, Barbie heels
But I’m too tired to clean
So I don't

I make a detour to my room
My bed has no sheets
And my clothes lie on the floor
None of them clean
I glance at my closet and realize I don't have enough clothes to make an outfit
I kick them out of the way as I grab my secret bottle of whiskey and exit

My final destination is the bathroom
I run a hot bath for me, wasting all the hot water
I stare down at the now empty pill bottle
I wash them down with the whiskey
I step in the bathtub and just sit
I feel myself slip as the warmth embraces me
