From the hit video game series Sonic the Hedgehog, there are many different games in the franchise–though unfortunately, that requires money. If you are like me, you don’t have any money. With an amazing fanbase, there’s a lot of dedicated people who enjoy the Sonic franchise so much that they create many different games, and one of them is Sonic World.
Sonic World has a variety of different characters, including yours truly, Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and more. It recreates various stages from new and old titles of Sonic the Hedgehog. There isn’t really a plot to the game, as you mainly play through the stages and reach the goal while fighting different types of enemies, solving puzzles, and conquering the obstacles that lie within each stage. |
Each stage holds different challenges you can do that vary from beating the stage normally, treasure hunting, beating the stage under a certain time limit, and more. With the completion of each stage, you’ll be ranked with how well you have done on a scale from E to D to C to B to A and the highest rank, S. If you complete the stage, you’ll receive an emblem, which would unlock more stages and more characters to use and play on. If completed with an S rank, however, you’ll receive two emblems. Each stage has about 5 separate challenges to complete, and each challenge holds two emblems. The more emblems that you have, the more stuff gets unlocked.
The game is consistently getting updated with the latest version, 10 being the most recent one. There’s a bunch of changes being made to the game; they’ve added new content that I believe a bunch of classic Sonic fans will enjoy. This game is also completely free, which means you don’t have to pay a dime. Overall, this game is an amazing experience to partake in, as it’ll be a good introduction to the Sonic franchise as a whole. With so much added content from the many different games both new and old, you could never get tired of the game because there’s so much to do. I personally give this game a 9 out of 10 rating, but then again, why take my rating up front when you could download the game and give it a try for yourself?
