trey sherrod, february 2026

i’ll kiss you until you’re ready.
if words are too heavy,
i’ll kiss your palms, fingers, cheeks, and forehead
let the affection speak beforehand
let adoration seep through every press of my lips
temples, jaw, and chin
passion through intention
being careful and gentle
the three words are simple, but until then,
i’ll kiss you
kiss you until you’re ready
as soft as a whisper,
or snowfall on christmas,
but nothing short of love
until you’re ready, you’ll get kisses.
