2024 was a very challenging year, unfortunately. Everything from school struggles, continuous mental battles, and a lack of self–esteem caused everything to feel draining. The only way I was able to counteract any of that was by returning to the hobby of reading back in July.
Within the last six months of the year alone, I was able to read 32 books--which is somewhere between 5 books every month--including widely recognized titles like Normal People, A Little Life , Crying In H-Mart, Call Me By Your Name, and The Virgin Suicides, just to name a few. Ultimately, I was extremely eager to continue doing my passion and finding more favorite books this year because I believe I pick great books.
Now, here are the first two books I have read this year.

Overall, reading has become a major part of my life and has allowed me to cope with the world around me. I hope that those who are currently reading this feel inspired to put down their devices and pick up a book, as the heart gains more fulfillment from life-changing stories as opposed to temporary relief media. I hope you enjoyed reading this!
