In honor of Women’s History Month, I am going to define different slang terms that are more towards women. The only terms I will go over are appropriate and common to use when referencing or talking to a woman. Many of the terms are used in order to uplift women and can be used by anyone. Here are some fun terms to use when referencing a woman--or women--in your life:
Girl’s Girl (noun): a woman who uplifts, encourages, and is positive towards other women. A girl’s girl is an ally of women.
Mother (noun): a woman who has maternal/motherly qualities in them--even though not having any children.
Example: “Delilah is the best babysitter I know! That’s mother!!!”
“WHO’S THAT DIVA?” (phrase): a woman whose looks are strikingly beautiful.
Queen (noun): a woman who invokes a feminine dominance over things that they do.
