a letter to Mr. prentice

Letter to Mr. Prentice: Assistant Principal Appreciation
You do a lot

I’ve hardly seen you sit down
I’ve never seen you rest
I only see you with your computer
And you’re always in a rush
But you never stop

You do a lot

Working
Always working
Running around
From one side of the school
To the next
Answering questions
So many questions
But you never stop

You do a lot

In the absence of our principal
And even when she’s here
In the beginning of the week
All the way to end
From the crack of dawn
Until sundown
I know you’re tired
And you know it too
But you never stop

You do a lot

But you never fail
To ask me how I’m doing
You never fail
To give recommendations
You never fail
To give advice
You never fail
To show you care

And I hope you never stop
