Why in the world are you proud to be a girl?
You do know that being a girl means being a disappointment before you’re even born, right? The moment you miss that Y chromosome is the day everything goes wrong.
The opening line of the film Jennifer’s Body describes it all: “Hell is a teenage girl."
I mean the moment you become a teenager is the moment you lose your mother. You will always have an attitude, you will always talk back. It will always be an issue. Once you turn a certain age, you go from being a child to being competition.
Being a teenage girl means having to put on clothes when males come over. No one ever puts this energy into telling these men not to come to the house. Being a teenage girl means no one will protect you from boys. When you are a little girl you are innocent enough to be protected. As a woman, you are old enough to be respected.
This is also the age where "boys get to be boys." You see, when boys get bored, they use girls for sex. Usually for a teenage, girl their arm or thigh is next.
Being a teenage girl means survival of the fittest. Unlike boys, girls will eat each other alive. The teenage girl is the only species on the planet to make fun of their own for getting hurt.
Being a teenage girl is so complicated. There is just something so feminine about not eating--that’s what they teach you, right? Being a teenage girl means your looks matter until you die.
Teenage girls don’t belong at home, don’t belong at school, yet can’t even walk the street alone.
Being a teenage girl is being too young to have an opinion or a personality, but too old to have emotions or get help.
Being a teenage girl is having a little girl hate you. That little girl is yourself. She grew up having joy, dreams, and not a care in the world. That was ruined when you became a shitty teenage girl. How can a single chromosome throw life into a whirl?
I mean, I did warn you: hell is a teenage girl.
